Motif of the mural
Saint Lucia is particularly popular in the north because she is considered the saint of lights. Her name means: the shining one. In Sweden, for example, at their festival, on December 13th, one of the darkest days of the year, Processions and the election of the Queen of Lights. Cakes and bread are baked, songs are sung and festivals are celebrated at home and in churches, on the streets and in schools. A girl is allowed to wear the crown of lights on her head, which is considered a special honor.
This crown of lights is shown in the picture. Also a sword, because the saint in whose honor the festival was celebrated died by the sword. Lucia lived in Siracusa, in what is now Sicily, in the 3rd century, hence her name Lucia of Syracuse. As the daughter of a wealthy family, when she became a Christian, displeasure. Because she rejected both marriage and the possession of worldly goods. She is said to have become a victim of the persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian. She was sentenced to death at the stake, but the flames could not harm her. She was then beheaded a few days later, supposedly on December 13, 310. Many legends surround the saint and she has long been considered the patroness of the blind and against eye problems.
Patroness of Siracusa and Venice; of the poor, the blind, repentant prostitutes, sick children; of farmers, glaziers, weavers, saddlers, upholsterers, tailors, seamstresses, electricians, cutlers, coachmen, pedals, servants, peddlers, gatekeepers, scribes, notaries, lawyers, writers (in England); against eye diseases, blindness,
Sore throat, dysentery, blood flow, infectious diseases and childhood illnesses
Remembrance Day December 13th
Wall picture in gold for living room
This picture is painted using a kind of relief technique, so that individual areas create a slight 3-D effect. This is particularly nice because the properties of the noble material - genuine, 23 kt double ducat gold from the Austrian Mint - are shown to their best advantage. The gold reflects the light, This creates new effects again and again depending on the time of day and/or the incidence of light.
The picture can be attached to the iron plate - which can be used on both sides - as desired using the included magnets. The plate shows different patterns on each side, which are created by controlled rusting of the iron.
The mural set gives living rooms of any style a very unusual look.
