The surprisingly positive response to modern images of saints from Austria has been confirmed. Since the beginning of January, a well-known lifestyle magazine has been giving away two sets of three archangel pictures from the Viennese craft workshop Wonnereich among Brits and has also recorded a consistently high level of participation in the last week. The statistics were surprisingly positive at the beginning, but now the trend has been confirmed.
The latest figures show: Over 11,000 people took part up to and including January 26th. 2020 part.
These include men and women of all ages, from 18 to 75+. The 45 – 54 age group is slightly at the top. Although the magazine's target audience is female, over 20% of submissions are men. It also shows that all regions are represented, from the small islands of Guernsey and Jersey in the south right up to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland. The metropolis of London also recorded lively participation.
“I love these products, and the feedback shows that readers do too,” said Addison Ball, manager at The Competition Platform, which oversees this competition for the lifestyle magazine.
Wonnereich designs and produces handmade images of saints in a modern, abstract design and only uses the highest quality materials. The motifs of the three archangel images are made of 23 kt gold leaf from the Austrian Mint on handmade handmade paper. On the website www.wonnereich.com, customers can choose from many different motifs. “I want to bring the saints back into our everyday lives. They are intended to awaken the spirit and sensitize you to beauty. The images must fit into our time and space and, if possible, with all furnishing styles. Despite the high quality, they should be affordable,” says Ulrike Rainer, the founder of Wonnereich.
Wonnereich is constantly developing new motifs, including special ones for martyrs, using hand-made document ink in red, the color of blood

Brits are considered trendsetters and are often ahead of the times. “But no one could have expected that images of saints, of all things, would be so well received. The topic is demanding and very unusual. Some people may find it out of date. But the statistics show that, at least in Britain, a lot of people disagree.”

WONNEREICH was founded in Vienna in 2016 by Ulrike Rainer as a small online shop for fine wall objects. She designs and creates customizable pictures or other creative objects for modern rooms, mostly by hand. The works have a direct Christian connection or carry these values and traditions within them.
