The ensemble with an image of a saint on the wall immediately attracts attention, because the unusual combination of rustic, controlled rusted iron of the frame on which the soft handmade paper lies is a homage to the art of craftsmanship and the essence of luxury aesthetics.

The shapes that the rust paints on the iron range from strict and geometric to floral to artfully openwork patterns, sometimes reminiscent of the finest lace patterns. The frames can be used on both sides. The two sides often have very different shapes and colors, so that there are few limits to your freedom of design.

The frames are available in different designs. They were designed and cut to harmonize particularly well with the approximately A4 (frame size M recommended) or A5 (frame size S recommended) format of the wall pictures on handmade paper. With or without a hole for the nail, they are available in 3 ways:

• Raw, without rust protection. They change their appearance over time.
• Unrusted, but with rust protection. Here the color is steel or silver and it shows few to no traces of rust. They are sealed with a special varnish
• The artificially rusted iron plates show patterns and the rusting process has been stopped. They no longer change their appearance.
• Can be used on both sides, the two sides may have completely different patterns and colors

By using magnets for attachment, the handcrafted frames offer maximum flexibility and adaptability. You can easily switch and rearrange your images to enhance your personal aesthetic and style.

Colors

The colors of the frames depend on the rust. They can contain typical rust tones and sometimes these dominate. The iron frames often have a silvery gray tone that can range from steel and gray to deep black.

The frames without a pattern are a uniform silver gray and have few to no other colors.
